Dressing Up Enhances Girls’ Confidence and Uplifts Their Spirit

Parents of young girls often tell them not to dress up too much as it is not a “girlish” thing to do. Some adults perceive doing make up or wearing highly fashionable clothes and accessories as a ladylike act that does not suit pre-teens and teenaged girls.

However, if done within limits of decency and considerable simplicity, make up, jewelry and the whole process of dressing up and making oneself look good can add an oomph of confidence to a girl’s personality. The reason as to why this happens is basically that, when a girl looks good, she feels good.

The opposite is even truer; when a girl feels good, she looks good. So one must not think that all it takes to raise a young girl with overflowing confidenceis to provide her with a boxful of makeup items and loads of good clothes and accessories.

In order to boost your daughter’s confidence, make her feel that the world is her playground. Don’t put unnecessary restrictions on her by preventing her from dressing up and hanging out with her friends. Let her take pleasure in her own beauty and revel in the act of carrying herself like a little lady of sorts.

While it is important to let her experiment with different looks, it is equally important to help her realize that the best ornament she possesses is her smile. A genuine smile adds a lot more color to one’s personality as compared to any amount of jewelry or make up. A smile has the power to give a girl an air of unswerving confidence and vitality.

Additionally, tell your young daughter that even at times when she may not be feeling too good about herself, simply smiling at herself in the mirror will bring back her confidence. Furthermore, there is nothing that can replace a warm and sincere heart, which causes one to glow with a divine radiance.
